LR Truck Licence

As of 1st July 2025 - All Heavy Vehicle bookings (as 1st time students) will require to pay $500 deposit, which they have up to 7 days to pay prior to their Heavy Vehicle Training.

This course is designed to provide the student with the skills and knowledge to drive a Light Rigid Truck as per Regulator licence requirements and to gain a LR Driver's Licence.

Pre-requisites are:-

  • Minimum age and driving experience requirements as per DPTI licence requirements.
  • Existing medical conditions must be advised prior to enrolment as some clients may be ineligible to undertake this training.

  • Use vehicle and systems required during Light Rigid driving tasks.
  • Utilise operational and maintenance procedures and systems for Light Rigid driving tasks.
  • Read and interpret relevant regulations, instructions, signs and labels applicable to light rigid vehicle drivings.
Equipment Used

Light Rigid truck - must be provided. Alternative is to utilise RTTS MR truck.

What to Bring

  • Photo Identification (ie Australian drivers licence, passport)
  • Abide by Conditions of your current licence - eg wear prescription spectacles.
  • Wear enclosed footwear.
