| Achievement Certification | Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive: • An EWPA Yellow Card (digital and/or plastic photo ID card) certifying competency in operating Vertical Lifts (VL), recognized nationally by major construction and industrial worksites. • For participants under 18, a Restricted Yellow Card (marked with an ‘R’) will be issued, requiring supervision by an unrestricted Yellow Card holder until age 18, when an unrestricted card can be obtained. • Entry into the EWPA’s online database, providing verifiable proof of training for employers and worksites. |
| Skills Gained | Participants will gain the following skills and knowledge: • Safe Operation of Vertical Lifts: Ability to operate vertical lifts safely, including maneuvering, positioning, and stabilizing the equipment at height. • Hazard Identification and Risk Management: Skills to identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures specific to vertical lift operations. • Pre- and Post-Operational Checks: Conducting thorough inspections to ensure equipment safety and functionality, including interpreting data plates and manuals. • Operational Confidence: Practical experience to build confidence in operating vertical lifts in real-world scenarios, ensuring productivity and safety. |

To ensure a safe and effective training experience, participants must bring:
• Photo Identification: A valid ID (e.g., driver’s license or passport) with photo, signature, and date of birth. • Unique Student Identifier (USI): Required for nationally recognized training; obtain at www.usi.gov.au. • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): • High-visibility workwear or safety vest. • Steel-cap footwear (enclosed shoes or boots; open-toed shoes or thongs are not permitted). • Hard hat (if required by the training site). • Comfortable Clothing: Practical, long pants and a shirt suitable for hands-on training. • Lunch and Water: While tea, coffee, and water may be provided, participants should bring their own lunch (cafés or food vans may be available nearby at some locations). • White Card (optional but recommended): General Safety Induction for the construction industry, if already attained.
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the course start time, as late arrivals may not be permitted to attend.
